About this retreat
Explore the outdoors with your kids and pups at this wonderful mountain retreat. Come outside and play!
Camp Bluebird sits on 10 acres with more than 1,200 feet of frontage on Hemptown Creek, with easy, mostly flat access down to the water. Wade into the cool creek and splash around, or cast a line — the creek and the private stocked pond both hold rainbow, brown, and brook trout. Beyond the water there are meadows to run through, butterflies to chase, deer to track, and a vast unobstructed view of the night sky once the fireflies come out.
Inside, a stone wood-burning fireplace anchors an open floor plan with a vaulted ceiling in the great room. This is a casual home — premier bedding and boho rustic touches, but comfortable, non-fussy decor meant to be lived in. The full kitchen comes with loads of dishes, pots, and pans.
The screened-in rear porch works as an extended dining area, just like the mess hall at summer camp. Out front, a covered porch for slow mornings. Out back, a propane grill, a campfire area for s'mores, and a secluded covered hot tub.
