About this retreat
Ocean Point Penthouse is a four-bedroom, four-bathroom penthouse directly on Kite Beach in Cabarete — the top floor of a small oceanfront property, with dramatic 20-foot vaulted ceilings and uninterrupted views over the turquoise Atlantic.
The scale is what sets it apart. An expansive open-concept living area runs to a dining table that seats twelve, under ceilings tall enough to keep the whole floor bright and airy. Panoramic windows put the ocean in front of you from the sofa, the table and the kitchen, and the fully equipped kitchen — oven, stove, microwave, blender, coffee maker, and a full-size refrigerator with filtered water — is built for cooking for a full house rather than a couple.
Four bedrooms sleep twelve without anyone drawing the short straw. The master has a king bed, oceanfront views, and an ensuite bathroom with a spacious dual-showerhead shower. The second and third bedrooms each have a queen bed and their own private bathroom. The fourth holds two queen beds, and two rollaway beds are available on request for the eleventh and twelfth guests. Air conditioning runs throughout, with ceiling fans in every room, high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and a full-size washer and dryer in the unit.
Downstairs, an oceanfront swimming pool overlooks Kite Beach, and the sand is a few steps further — swimming, walking, and the kiteboarding that made this beach famous, all without leaving the property. Cabarete town is a ten-minute walk along the beach, or about five minutes by car.
Linens, towels, beach and pool towels, toiletries and filtered water are provided, and a concierge is on hand for taxis, tours and anything else the week needs.
